Below are some inexpensive and easy updates that will make a big difference to the look and feel of any kitchen when major renovations are not within budget!
I. PAINT
Brighten up any room by CHANGING the color of the WALLS or your CABINETS a LIGHTER COLOR. This is the least expensive update you can make to any kitchen.
I opted to paint both my kitchen walls and cabinets a lighter color.
I used two different white colors for my kitchen cabinets and my walls.
When painting your cabinets make sure to use a roller whenever you can to allow for even application. Buy a semi-gloss or glossy paint to ease cleaning. I used Benjamin Moore paint on my kitchen cabinets. I opted for a glossy finish that is super easy to clean and that didn’t require more than a layer of paint to fully cover each cabinet. I have done many painting projects with this brand of paint and I highly recommend it. (Benjamin Moore is not a sponsor of this post.) If you have little ones, look for low VOC option paints.

2. HARDWARE
The one update that is a MUST is NEW HARDWARE! It makes such a difference and there are so many options.
The hardware used on this kitchen was surprisingly inexpensive. And I’ve had it for two years now without any issues.

Updating your KITCHEN HARDWARE gives you the MOST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!
